A Darwin couple have listed their turnkey elevated home with pool for sale after four years of enjoying the city-fringe sanctuary.

One of the owners said the home at 23 Graham St, Stuart Park, was fully renovated and ready for the next owners to move right in.

“It’s all designer finishes and high spec inside,” he said.

“But it’s also a classic elevated house so it still has that Darwin charm about it.

“Every room you’re in, you’re looking out at the palm trees.”

The homeowner said the property was in the perfect position.

“It’s a pretty large block of land, so it’s a little escape from the world around you,” he said.

“We’re super close to the city – I can ride my bike to the city – but we’re far enough away that we don’t feel like we’re in the thick of it.”

The home sits on a 1140 sqm block with in-ground pool, garage with store room and established landscaping.

Upstairs, the home has timber floors and open spaces.

“There are big, beautiful louvres throughout so in the dry season the house is all opened up and fresh,” the owner said.

“But because the inside is renovated and modern, you can close the house up and just relax on the couch in the airconditioning.”

There is an open plan living, dining and kitchen space with timber floors and banks of louvres.

The updated kitchen has stone benchtops, modern appliances and an island bench.

The three bedrooms have built-in wardrobes, louvres and split-system airconditioning, and there is a renovated family bathroom.

Downstairs, there is a laundry with cabinetry, a storage room with built-in cupboards, undercover entertaining space and a carport.

Next to the pool there is another renovated bathroom with toilet and shower.

The owner said he and his husband have loved hosting friends and family at the home.

“We’ve been in the Territory for five years and had a steady streaming of visitors,” he said.

“We love sharing this space with them.

“I really like the outdoor area, the pool in particular – it’s a really nice place to have barbecues and pool parties.

“We had family from France come over and stay for a couple of months.

“They loved it here and lived in the pool.

“My little nephew was devastated when he found out we were selling the house.”

The property is walk distance to Stuart Park Primary School and close to cafes, the CBD and weekend markets.
