An award-winning home has sold for $7m to a local family just two years after the address was snapped up for $3.15m by a developer with an eye for detail.
Capital Luxury Residences chairman Phil Pezzi bought a brick home at 36 Langside Road in blue chip Brisbane suburb Hamilton for $3.15m in March 2022, but he had a much more luxurious replacement in mind when he did so.

Developer CLR saw strong potential in the address with its hillside position offering views of the city.

In its place was built a 730sq m five bedroom, three storey Hamilton home called Torre – meaning tower in Spanish – which went on to win the award for best residential property in the Asia Pacific at the International Property Awards in August.
“This is a standout property on Brisbane’s competitive prestige home market,” said Mr Pezzi whose firm has completed 23 properties in the five years since setting up in 2019, with two more homes currently under construction in Brisbane and three about to begin on the Gold Coast.

The property in blue chip Hamilton was sold by Sarah Hackett of Place New Farm to a local family buyer.
The developers had tested the market at close to $1.5m more earlier this year, with a different real estate agency listing it for $8.499m without success.
Torre is loaded with every convenience including smart technology, garaging for eight cars, a gym, top of the range Gaggenau appliances, a Subzero fridges, a spacious indoor-outdoor entertaining area with a firepit and a 10m by 4m swimming pool.
No expense was spared in the home’s design.
The home comes with a pool.
The firm’s design director Alissa Birch who collaborated on the property with Melbourne-based Mason Bright Architects said the home had some very rare elements.
“One of the hero pieces is the kitchen’s Palissandro marble; a precious and very rare stone quarried in Italy characterised by a rather uniform and neutral beige background crossed by grey and brownish veining, stripes and shadings,” she said.

The Spanish-inspired luxury home also won the International Property Awards’ gong for best residential property in Australia in April.
