Queensland’s own The White House is under offer, with the US version expected to have its own landlord installed within days.
While all eyes have been on the US presidential election, Crafted Property agents Philip Resnikoff and Ulises Vasquez have quietly set a suburb record for a Brisbane property dubbed The White House in Forestdale.
“It sold two days before auction,” Mr Resnikoff said, adding that no, Harris and Trump were not among the buyers looking for a plan B.
“We had about 85 groups through and it was bought by a local family.
Mr Resnikoff said the sprawling property attracted a lot of interest from “multi-cultural families”.
It is understood it sold for $2.123m – the first comparable home to break through the $2 million barrier.
The owner of the Plantagenet Court property paid $890,000 for the six-bedroom residence on a 4379sq m block in 2015, publicly-available property records show.

And there is even a “West Wing”, which the listing says is more suited to older teenagers, relatives, guests, even a home business.
The section offers potential dual living options, and includes a master suite with a spacious bedrooom, ensuite and walk-in robe, another bedroom, and an open plan lounge, dining and kitchen space.
The main section of the home has a lounge and dining space, plus a formal lounge and formal dining space.
There is also a large rumpus room.
Upstairs is another masster suite with a walk-in robe and ensuite, plus three further bedriims and a family bathroom.
Outside is an entertaining area overlooking the yard.
“The versatile floorplan will accommodate the dual and tri-living family as well as those simply looking for a large free-flowing design,” the listing description says.
“Those with home business requirements will also appreciate this property and the opportunity it provides.
“One-of-a-kind in every way, this is a home like no other.”
The listing pictures show chandeliers throughout the residence and furniture fit for a presidential abode.
Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris were both vyying for keys to the Washington DC version, having missed out in Forestdale.
Trump won the race to the US White House.
The Forestdale property was on the market for 92 days – well short of the typical presidential race that creates a sensation.
